My name is Elana, and I am a senior at the University of Oregon. I am studying public relations have minors in Spanish and business. I serve as the Professional Development Chair for University of Oregon’s PRSSA chapter. Writing is my passion, yet this is my first foray into the blogosphere.
I have had three internship experiences, and I am currently having my fourth internship at Fleishman-Hillard Inc. My first internship, in Malibu, Ca., involved working at a very small firm with clients in the consumer product and event planning fields. The second, in Eugene, Ore., involved working almost exclusively with a local non-profit organization to plan its first fund-raising event. The third, in Beaverton, Ore., involved working with deep tech clients. I am grateful for the breadth of my experience and learned a lot about PR by working with a variety of clients and organizations.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, writing in a personal journal, baking treats, learning new outdoor activities, reading novels, and practicing yoga.
